The Installation Ceremony and Dinner was held on Thursday 31 October 2024, to enrol Freemen and Liverymen and celebrate the installation of Elena Oderstone as our new Master.
The Principal Guest was The Rt Revd and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally DBE, who was installed as the 133rd Bishop of London at St Paul’s Cathedral on 12th May 2018. Bishop Sarah is the first woman to hold this historic office. She spoke on 'Sustainability: The importance of connectivity and relationships in building a sustainable future'.
Also speaking was Alderman Alastair King DL who, since the dinner, has became the 696th Lord Mayor of London. He outlined his thoughts and plans for his mayoralty.
Grace was said by The Reverend Canon Thomas Woodhouse, who is Chaplain of The King's Chapel of the Savoy within the Duchy of Lancaster, Chaplain of the Royal Victorian Order and Deputy Priest-in-Ordinary to HM The King.
