A strong gathering of Fuellers and Guests were hosted by Rolls Royce to learn of an initiative to build a new generation of Nuclear power plants based on Small Modular Reactors (SMRs)
Rolls Royce have gathered together a consortium of UK companies with a view to delivering the design, manufacture and build of the next generation of nuclear plant based on SMR technology. It is hoped that the SMR programme could provide a platform to rebuild UK design and manufacturing capabilities in the nuclear sector.
The evening gathering with Rolls Royce was the first of, what is hoped might become regular Master’s Evenings arranged to compliment the “Conversation” events organised by the Industry Committee to provide Fuellers and their Guests an interface with the Energy Sector.
