There will be an Industry Visit to Drax Power Station in Selby, Yorkshire on Monday 12 May 2025.  There are 15 places available so please book early.  The visit will run from 1000-1200, and there will be lunch organised afterwards.

Drax Power Station is the UK's largest renewable power station.  Its construction began in the 1960s and it has since evolved into the largest decarbonisation project in Europe.  It is now the site of innovation for bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS).  Four of its six boilers have now been converted to biomass.

Cars should be parked in the guest car park by the South Gate on the site.

DRESS
Your clothing must cover arms and legs.
PPE will be provided where required on site.
There will be some walking, both inside and outside and stairs so footwear should be appropriate.

SECURITY
Please bring Photo ID.
Only those who have booked in will be allowed access.
You should allow at least five minutes to navigate security.
