The Objectives of the Company are delivered through sub-committees supporting the General Purposes Committee.  One key sub-committee is the Industry Group.

The prime role of the Group is to promote the interaction between the Fuellers and Industry and increase the relevance of the Company within the energy sector in the UK. During these challenging times there has never been a greater need for informed debate on the trilemma (Affordability, Security and Sustainability)  that underpins the UK Energy Sector.

Traditionally the Industry Group has organised the Lectures and Conferences which serve as our face to the Industry we represent, but it is also charged with the promotion of skills and knowledge, providing members of the Company with opportunities to exchange views and acquire information and to provide support and mentoring for junior professionals in the Energy Sector.

We are looking to reinforce our Industry Group team and further access the skills, experience and networks within the Company.

Membership of GPC sub-committees is not only the best way for members of the Company to participate in the success of our objectives, but is also a way to work with your fellow Fuellers and apply your skills and experience to take the Livery forward.

We have plans to organise:

• Industry Lectures (with or without partners)
• Conferences
• Industry Visits
• Young Professional Networking Events (Lunches, Breakfasts or After Work)

It will be the role of the newly formed Industry Group to build on these plans and make them happen.

If you feel you can contribute, or simply wish to submit ideas and suggestions why not join us.  The intention is to meet at The Carmen Hall (come and check out our new home!) discuss a programme to take us into the new Livery year and follow up with a glass of wine and some nibbles.
