Last week I heard from our Arkwright Scholar Emma who had received her A Level results. It was good news! Here's the link to the Arkwright page https://www.arkwright.org.uk/
The Trust aims to sponsor an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship each year. You may have met one of our current scholars Emma at the DoE Future Energy Conference, or the Ezra Lecture in March. Thanks to introductions by PM Averil Macdonald, Emma and I also attended an event at the Institute of Physics in February. She has actively engaged with these events, having the opportunity to meet several Fuellers, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and Professor Martin Freer, nuclear physicist & Director of BEI at the University of Birmingham. Emma told me that this encounter had confirmed her first choice Uni would be Birmingham.Emma wrote to me with her A level results. She got 4 A*s and sailed into Birmingham - to read Physics. Congratulations Emma!”
