The conference immediately follows the conclusion of COP26 and once again focuses on the theme of “Future Energy”. We have an excellent set of very senior, knowledgeable speakers addressing the most important issues influencing our journey to a sustainable future; including the achievements and failures of the last two years, personal feedback from COP26, a look at what incentives are required in order to achieve Net Zero, in depth reviews of energy storage, some new energy technologies on the horizon, and finally, a senior economist’s view of the energy future. In the middle of all of this, and reflecting our commitment to education, we have the final of our competition offering prizes to young energy professionals and academics for the best new energy ideas. As a reward for all of this intellectual effort, the delegates will further explore these topics in the evening while winding down at a champagne reception.

We have chosen a venue with room to spare and excellent facilities. The Royal College of Physicians is a Grade 1 listed building overlooking Regent’s Park, and accessed from Marylebone Road by the East Gate. It is very well served by public transport, being a very short walk from Regent’s Park and Great Portland Street tube stations, but with Warren Street, Baker Street, King’s Cross/St Pancras, Euston, Marylebone and Paddington also close by.
As was the case in 2019, there is a discount of around a quarter for early booking and a very attractive concession rate for those in the early stages in their careers, so it is an excellent opportunity to bring along younger colleagues and students to give them a real insight into the future of energy and introduce them to the Fuellers.
