ABOUT THE AFSEA AFFILIATES ACTION GROUP
The Air Fuels & Sustainable Energy Association (AFSEA) Affiliates Action Group has been set up to build on the successes of Affiliates’ engagement with the AFSEA Conferences and elsewhere.  It also recognises the  importance of the relationship between the MOD and AFSEA Affiliates in joint development, technological application and generating working relationships ahead of joint ventures. They are now looking to build a community around that to ensure that MOD perception of the commercial base is realistic and to help Affiliates to understand the strategic vision and future operational requirement.

The intention is for Affiliates’ Action Group events to be held periodically through the year.  Each will have a specific theme and look to answer questions posed by senior Defence leaders.

THE LAUNCH EVENT
The AFSEA Affiliates’ Action Group launch event is on Tuesday 1 April at RAF High Wycombe (20 miles west of London).
It will work with the Air Support Directorate, which is overseen by AFSEA’s Honorary Chair, Air Vice Marshal Shaun Harris. The Air Support team for the event will be headed by Air Commodore Craig Watson who will be supported by Squadron Leader Greg Curtis.
The Engineering and Sustainability leads from Gatwick Airport will be sharing their experiences, best practices and insights.

For this Affiliates Action Group they are particularly looking for SMEs in the following areas:
Air Support Energy Strategy compatibility with commercial/private sector trends
Emerging technologies development timelines
Decentralised power & electricity production
Electrification vs alternate novel fuels
Fossil, Synthetic, and Sustainable drop-in fuels development
Whilst places are limited they recognise the close working relationship between the AFSEA and the Fuellers and so upto sixteen places are available for Fuellers.
