Our Junior Warden, Louise Thompson, attended the Annual Inter-Livery Card evening with husband Rob, at Drapers Hall on Monday 3rd February 2025, organised by the Livery Company of the same name.
She said "The evening was held at the magnificent Drapers Hall where the famous red painting of King Charles, the first portrait during his reign, is proudly on display.
Clerk, Annie Prouse had done an outstanding job of organising the seating with members of the WCMPC strategically placed to oversea the 'Games of Cards' after dinner that allowed for winners to move along the table clockwise. The game of the evening was 'Swedish Pursuit' apparently based on Crazy 8's with a few variations. Thankfully it was easy to pick up and soon the friendly competitiveness was kicking in.
There were an impressive 67 Livery companies represented and the evening raised £1000 for the Lord Mayors Appeal. I'm afraid we didn't win but what a great, informal evening of fellowship enabling us all to spend time with fellow Junior / Renter Wardens within the Livery. "
